Overview of Into the Wild

Christopher McCandless dies after surviving one hundred days in the Alaskan wilderness. All he had was a .22 caliber rifle, several boxes of ammunition,10 pounds of rice and a field guild of edible plants. Christopher lived in a suburban part of Virginia, graduated high school. Christopher gave away his college plain of 25,000 dollars and began traveling across the western United States.
